    Students in year 7 & 8 have recently entered a mini saga competition. Thirty One students were successful and had their work published in A Twist in The Tale. All students have copies of the book and we are very proud of their achievement.

    Her Royal Highness Princess Anne arrived at The Vale Academy by helicopter this morning and was welcomed by the academy's brass band. Princess Anne conducted a number of visits today around Lincolnshire. The students paused in lessons momentarily to watch this very special occasion.

  • Fund Raising - Air Ambulance

    A recent non uniform day raised a staggering £833.77 which has been donated to Lincolnshire & Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance in memory of Year 10 student Caitlin Smith who tragically died in May. A well done to all staff & students involved, the most we have ever raised!

  • Quad Kids Team Winners

    The Y7/8 Quad Kids team won the North Lincolnshire Schools competition. All students had to complete the 100m, 800m, Long Jump and Vortex Throw.

  • Y11 Revision Sessions

    All Y11 students are on study leave with effect from Monday 2 June.

    To support students with preparation for examinations, there will be a weekly timetable offering supervised revision facilities for students who may want to revise in school.

  • A Class Act

    Year 11 student Joe represented the academy last night and was quite amazing, winning through to the final on June 9th 2014 of A Class Act. There is a £2,000 prize for the winner. Please go along and support Joe in the final! Well done.

  • New Build Update - March 2014

    Survey work has started on site at The Vale Academy to finalise the feasibility study, this will ensure the new academy can be built on the existing academy site. Theodolite surveying of the site is well underway and today saw the start of bore hole drilling to check suitability of the land. An exciting time for everyone at the academy!

  • Brigg Music Festival

    This week has seen the annual Music Festival in Brigg with many of our music students playing with great success.  Of the Brass ensemble, the international flautist adjudicator added, “love the ending, really exciting.”  The woodwind group, after playing Raiders March and Chariots of Fire were praised with the comments the students were “lucky to play in such an ensemble” and “absolutely brilliantly worthwhile…”.  The Samba played particularly well with more positive comments such as “they are fantastic” an

  • Brass Master Class 2014

    We were honoured to hold a master class given by Christopher Deacon at The Vale Academy. Christopher is at present, principal trumpet with the Royal Ballet Sinfonia but also works with some of the finest orchestras of Great Britain, including the London Symphony Orchestra and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.  

    He has played the trumpet on the soundtrack of many films including Harry Potter and is the soloist for the Coronation Street theme tune. Students from other secondary and primary schools were treated

  • Young Enterprise

    Another successful day for The Young Enterprise team.... they didn't sell out this time but they did win an award for the best product. There was a lot of competition with about 20 other teams attending the trade fair so the team did really well to win this award.

  • Year 8 Netball

    The year 8 netball team finished second in the North Lincs tournament and will go on to represent North Lincs at the Humber School Games in April.

  • Samba Workshop - WI

    6th February 2014

    The Vale Academy samba band performed at Hibaldstow hall on Tuesday 4th February. They gave a short concert before the ladies of the WI took part in a samba workshop. Ladies, students and staff had a thoroughly enjoyable evening which concluded with the ladies performing a full samba piece along side our students. Congratulations to all!
