High standards in careers provision at The Vale Academy have been recognised with a prestigious award.
The Quality Award in Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG) accredits good practice and encourages development in academies and schools.
Principal Nicola Williams said The Vale placed a great deal of emphasis on students’ futures.
“I’m really pleased with the award because it confirms the quality of our work in this really important area,” said Mrs Williams.
“Parents can be reassured that we are looking after students’ long-term interests, with sound careers guidance.”
The award means the academy is also nationally validated by the Quality in Careers Standard (QiCS).
The Government recommends that all schools should work towards a quality award for careers education, information, advice and guidance.
“Holding a nationally validated CEIAG award demonstrates to those outside the academy that a high standard has been reached,” said Mrs Williams.
“We have had to evidence our quality across a whole range of different areas.
“I’d like to thank all those involved at the academy for the work that went into gaining the recognition and their excellent work, on behalf of our students, overall.”
