Don’t forget – former students can say a fond farewell to the existing buildings on Friday, 25th November.
All are welcome between 6pm and 8pm.
There will be a display of memorabilia and photographs from the past plus a chance to sample old-style, school dinner puddings as well as tour the buildings which will close for good on Tuesday 13th December.
The Vale Academy will move to its new £13.9-million building in January.
Principal Nicola Williams said: “We didn’t want to just shut these buildings without people having the opportunity to say farewell.
“There has been a school here for 60 years. We appreciate the buildings hold many memories for a lot of the local community.
“They will be demolished in the New Year so the concerts and open evening are the last chance for people to come and see them in operation.”
