Record A-level results

17th August 2017

Students and staff have celebrated The Vale Academy’s best ever A-level results.

They recorded a pass rate of 99% across academic and vocational courses with 37% of grades either A or A*.

All who applied gained entry into their first choice university.

There was an overall average progress of +0.22 for academic and +0.90 for vocational subjects.

The Vale Academy’s Principal Nicola Williams was “delighted”.  “This is an excellent set of results for our students who are in Brigg Sixth Form,” she said. “I am delighted for them and the staff.

They have worked incredibly hard and they have achieved the results their efforts deserve. I am so pleased all who applied have been accepted into their first choice university.

We wish them all the best with what they do in the future and hope they have fond memories of their time at The Vale.”

Paul Tarn, Chief Executive Officer of Delta Academies Trust, said “I am delighted that the dedication of students, staff and parents has been rewarded in these excellent results.

"The results achieved by the students are testament both to their hard work and to that of their teachers.

"I recognise the significant improvements in performance across the Academy and this is reflective of the amazing commitment and professionalism of teachers and other Academy staff who have supported students at this important and testing time.

"We wish all students well in their next steps in education, training or employment, and look forward to hearing about their future achievements.”
