Our Italian Job!

4th October 2017

Fantastic memories were forged when geography students from The Vale visited Italy.

The packed four-day agenda to the Bay of Naples included trips to the ancient Roman city of Pompeii, volcano Mount Vesuvius, picturesque Sorrento, Roman remains at Herculaneum, and a tour of the volcanic Phlegraean fields area.

Visit leader Richard Hughes said it was a memorable few days.

“The students were amazing and a credit to their parents and academy,” he said.

“They did a lot of walking but saw some amazing sights from Pompeii, the top of Vesuvius and in and around Sorrento.

“Fabulous weather, at the start of October, was a real bonus.”

Principal Nicola Williams was pleased the trip had been a success.

“What a wonderful experience for our students,” she said. I’d like to thank the staff for making the arrangements and supporting them.”
